We are running Max Ent 8 on Server 2003 and under Terminal Server (Citrx). We have just installed Outlook 2000 on the same server and run into, what appears to be compatibility or configuration problems when accessing Outlook via Max.

Outlook is installed for Corporate and Workgroups. We are not opening and running both Outlook and Max applications concurrently. We are opening Max and only accessing Outlook via Max.

All appears to work fine, sending and receiving emails, posting Address Book related emails into Records, etc. however when exiting Max, the application does not close fully and leaves us with a Blue Screen. This can be exited by then closing the Window or via Task Manager. As a result however, it is then not possible to open Max again without closing the session directly via Admininstration Management on the Application Server.

Does anyone have any suggestions ??

You have a system close to ours, we have max 8 with sbs outlook 2003. The damn thing crashes constantly.

The supplier reckons it could be a problem with the outlook profiles ie maximiser is hard coded to look for a default profile and cannot cope with multiple profiles or profiles not called "Default" but I have my doubts!

Actually we were advised to always open outlook before maximiser (and it says it in the program notes). We cant use max for emails as it will crash, we use outlook then switch to max to file if we want to (see other threads).

Not very helpful, but as they say a problem shared is a problem halved!
What about a problem partially shared? We are running Max 7 under Terminal Services (NOT Citrix) with 8 users integrated to Outlook 2000. We don't bother to open Outlook before Max but use Outlook within Max and we don't have any of the symptoms you describe. Can't speak to Max 8. We did make a conscious decision to go with Outlook 2000 rather than 2003, and I believe others on this forum have made the same decision.

Some definite differences in configuration. We're running Max 7 Pervasive with latest updates. We are running Outlook and Max on the same server.

To address one of your comments, Andrswal, if your supplier said Max can't handle multiple Outlook profiles they are incorrect. Ours does. There are a few tricks to enabling those profiles, but each of our users has their own Outlook profile and we use Outlook as ur email client from within Max regularly.
