It depends whether you are using "send email" or the Campaign Manager.

If you are using the Campaign Manager we have clients who regularly email tens of thousands of contacts and there is no practical limit.

If you are using "send email" this relies on interaction at your pc between Maximizer and Outlook and while there are no programmed restrictions on sending email this way we do not generally advise attempting to send more than 50-100 emails like this for technical and practical reasons.
Thank you. I have verified with our Echange team that our Microsoft Exchange will allow 5000 email. So for me to tell user that the 12,000 that he is trying to send to, he would have to break down his email to 120 different emails with 100 recepiants each... I was hoping the answer would be Maximizer would allow what ever the Exchange allows but appears it is a Max issue not a Exchange isse...

Am I correct in my thinking???

Thank you for your answer...
The campaign manager can send email in two modes. Either all the email in the campaign are dumped into the mail queue of your exchange server as soon as the campaign start time is reached or (and this is what we always recommend you do) the email starts to be sent to your exchange server in small batches every few minutes. In most cases your exchange server will probably hardly notice the load provided suitable batch size and intervals are selected.

We suggest 50 email batches every 3 minutes as a good configuration to start with. Your campaign may of course take several hours to go out but is unlikely to overload your email system.
