We have Max 6.0 with a 10 user licence and the main database sitting on the server with a peer-to-peer connection.

Last week we had to apply a Windows critical update Q320206 (also known as MS 02-024) to the servers, following which we now get the following problem.

Hi Dave,

This sounds to me like the Pervasive Gateway is not permantly assigned on your Network.

The machine which has all of the Pervasive licenses needs to be the permanent gateway or the system will behave like there is no Pervasive licenses, because effectively there are none!

If you go to start/ program files/ maximizer then select gateway locator then you can browse to the directory with the database in. This will tell you if you have a permanent gateway and the name of the machine that is the gateway.

Reset this as appropriate and the problem will be resolved.

If not then drop us a mail at support@cabc.co.uk and we'll get you sorted out.
