I upgraded to V9 and MaxLink will not load. I get the following error message:
IDS_ME-SR1_NOT_EXIT
I am using VISA Business on my computer.

There are some known issues with running Max Mobile in a Windows Vista Environment as Microsoft have changed the way mobile device synchronisation operates.
I'd suggest taking a look at this article Maximizer & Windows Vista as it contains some useful information that should help you get up and running:

Are you using MaxLink (for Palm OS) or MaxMobile (for Windows Mobile OS) and what version of this are you using?
Only the latest versions of these products (v9 & 9.5) work with Windows Vista.
Also what mobile device do you have? (eg: Palm Treo 650) as some of the older devices are not compatible with Vista either.

I currently have a Palm and have Palm Desktop 6.2.1 and the current Hot Sync is 7.2
MaxLink 9 with SR1.

Is your Palm one of the following: Palm Treo 755p, 700p, 680, 650, Palm TX, Z22 or Tungsten E2, as these are the only devices that are supported with the Palm Desktop 6.2 for Vista.

According to the Maximizer website (http://www.maximizer.com/support/max9_pda_support.html) Palm Desktop 6.2 is not supported with MaxLink 9, but this doesn't mean it definately won't work... try running the Palm Desktop app as an Administrator, or in Windows XP compatibility mode. Also try turning off the Vista UAC (User Access Control) as I have found that this can cause problems with some programs.
Failing that, I would consider getting a new Palm with Windows Mobile and using the MaxMobile software instead, which is much more functionally rich and works much better on Vista. I have just installed MaxMobile CRM 9.5 on a Palm Treo 750 with Windows Mobile 5 and Vista... works a treat!
