I own a two-person business including myself. Currently my computer acts like the server on a pier-to-pier network between me and my secretary in her office. I'm finally breaking down and plan to buy a new computer with Windows 7 (32 bit) Business edition. I want SQL to run quickly for obvious reasons with no delays when using Maximizer and Outlook 2007.

What is the minimum speed processor that I should use with Maximixer and Outlook? I plan to order 4 GB of RAM.

What is the optimal processor that I should use with Maximizer and Outlook?

Thanks.

Good Morning.

The first thing I would recommend is that you don't but more than 3gb of RAM if you are intending to run a 32bit processor because a 32bit system can't address more than 3gb and that final 1gb would be wasted.

Secondly, if you are running the Maximizer Entrepreneur or Group editions then pretty much any modern computer will be fine, this is because the Entrepreneur & Group editions run on SQL Express which is the free version of Microsofts SQL Product and as such has performance restrictions built into it.
