We are missing contact notes when logged in with some Windows Server 2003 domain accounts. This is with Maximizer 8 SR2 (Workgroup configuration).
I had to recreate a Windows XP Pro system after hard disk failure. It's connected to Windows Server 2003 for Small Business Server.
I connected to our windows domain and added 3 users to the computer. I logged in as myself (administrator privileges).
I installed Maximizer 8, SR1 (along with Pervasive 8.6 update [which btw failed until I found webpage mentioning that you have to MANUALLY turn ALL of Norton AV 2008 off, not just disable autoprotection.]), and SR2.
Testing with MASTER User ID, everything looks fine. We are setup in a Maximizer Workgroup configuration with the Windows Server 2003 computer acting as the Pervasive database gateway machine.
Now close Maximizer, and log off our Windows Domain and log into Windows Domain using EITHER of the other two accounts set up for this computer.
After I enter in the address book to open, I ALWAYS get:
"The profile name is not valid. Enter a valid profile name."
even after I select outlooksbs profile and tell it to use it as default.
In addition and more importantly, when I go to a contact that I know has lots of Notes associated with him, I only see 9 notes.
If I log off Windows Domain and log back in as myself (the account I used to install Maximizer), the notes for the contact are indeed in the Address book still.
I have the exact same problem on a laptop computer I temporarily added a new Windows Domain user to so that someone could use it use while their dead computer was being fixed.
I remember having the exact same problem years ago, when I initially installed Maximizer 8. I ignored the problem since back then we weren't as aware of how useful it can be to let people temporarily use each other's computers when disasters occur. The solution at that time was just to uninstall Maximizer, and re-install it while logged in as the main person who would be using that machine.
So... the question is...:
How can we use Maximizer 8 SR2 from a single machine with different Windows Server 2003 login accounts, and still see all of the notes associated with address book contacts???
