I'm running Maximizer 7.5 on Pervasive 2000i SP4. We have our email configured to user Exchange Server profile (extended MAPI). Other Setttings:
- MS Outlook 2000 is default Email program
- Outlook is setup in Workgroup/Corporate mode
- Outlook is configured to use Exchange Profile
Everything works all right except for a 30 second delay after sending an email - Maximizer is completely frozen for 30-40 seconds.
Key Observations:
1. When I click send, the message is sent instantly (via Exchange Server) - the recipient has the email with one second.
2. The computer is not hung up as we can use any other applications (besides Maximizer) during this same 30-40 seconds.
3. This problem is only occurs at our remote offices... Though we run a Maximizer server at each office (all standalone from one another), the Exchange server is centralized and accessed over a T1 WAN.
4. If we choose:
File | Preferences | Email (tab) | Advanced... | Suppress MAPI Message Notification (checked)
...things seem to speed up, but we don't want to disable the MAPI refresh - this forces the users to click send/receive to refresh their Inbox.
Anyone experience this or have more understanding of our MS Exchange Server communicates with Max 7.5?
Many thanks... PB
