Network printer problem

I have a recent problem that I don't know how to solve & would appreciate any help.

Have a home network with the printer attached to another computer. This computer does not have Max installed on it, it is just a printer server.

Typically the printer path would be...LaserJet on X31. However, just recently it got changed to LaserJet on X31 on X31\\X31\\X31a. All of my other printers have had the same thing happen.

Now when I go to print, it gives me the 'no printer selected' error message. If I add new printers to the computer, Max doesn't show them in the drop-down box.

Any ideas?

I should mention that I am using Max 9 (not Enterprise)
