That's the problem with going behind Maximizer's back to update data. What you need to do is use the MaAccess COM object. This allows you to use other applications such as Visual Basic, to update data in Maximizer and still have MaxExchange synch your remotes. Look at the Integrator's Toolkit for more information. It's available in PDF format from Maximizer's site if you don't have a hard copy.

I'm trying to use Visual FoxPro to update data but I'm having a hard time getting the COM object to instanciate.

I searched the Maximizer site for the Integrator's Toolkit pdf. The only thing I found is a Word .doc outlining the ITK.

My boss wants to see how easy it is to customize Maximizer - without first buying the Toolkit. Do you have a link to the .pdf or know exactly on Maximizer's website it is?

You have to own the Customizer Suite in order to get the PDF. If you are use to using COM objects you should not have much of an issue using it but like all things there will be a learning curve.
