Hello,

I'm looking for information on using Opportunities.

We have set up Maximizer to keep track of sales using UDF's. This works reasonably well in most cases, However we quite often have someone working on more than one deal at the same company - this complicates things.

I've been looking at the opportunities feature and it would probably solve my problem, but I've done some experimenting and now I'm not so sure - for one thing, opportunities don't seem toi show up in the notes section

Perhaps someone out there who has been working with this feature can enlighten me on what I can expect from it. I doubt I'll be using the strategies

Thanks,

Julut

Opportunities 101 in a nutshell.
Step 1 create a sales team with all staff as members. Give all staff edit rights. This way everyone can work opps regardless of opp creator.
Step 2. Opps have their own notes window, when looking in your address book in the bottom left corner there is an opp tab, shows all opps for the selected company. Click on an opp and the notes window will change to show notes attached to the opp.
Step 3. dont use strategies yet. Create several UDF's for opps to record additional information on your sales opportunities. use UDFS to print column reports for your meetings.
Step. 4 the sales steps summary button when no strategy is being used allows you to create estimated close date. the opportunity analysis button when no strategy is being used allows you to enter probibility of close.
Step. 5 add all sales opps to the opp window use them to keep your customers happy and your staff working correctly.
Step 6. find out who sings that song.
