Outlook addin causes slow outlook 2003

Troubleshooting for a client running outlook 2k3 and maximizer - when creating a new message it was exceedingly slow to bring up the new mail window.

The problem is caused by the MaOutlAddin.connect outlook addin for maximizer from the below registry key.

When outlook is launched the following registry key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\MaOutlAddin.Connect]
"Description"="Maximizer Outlook Add-in"
"FriendlyName"="Maximizer Outlook Add-in"
"LoadBehavior"=dword:00000003

If the LoadBehavior is changed to 0 instead of 3 outlook behaves as normal.

Rather than attempt to use maximizer's appalling tech support (and associated $gouge) has anyone found a solution other than disabling the addin?
