Hello

I am new user of Maximizer Ent 8 (looks like SP2) applied as 1433 version. My question seems to be pretty fundamental, but could not find similar post. Have configured email settings to use email (Outlook & Exchange) and this seems to work fine except that emails being composed default to plain text even though my profile is HTML?

Another issue is that I do not see the public folders in the Max Email window?

Your help would be greatly appreciated

Best Regards
Russell

Hi, Russell - you've actually answered one of my questions regarding Max 8. We're using Max 7 and it's an acknowledged bug that outgoing email always defaults to plain text even if your Outlook profile says it should default to HTML or RTF. What you have to do (in Max 7 at least) is use Format > HTML to change it manually for each message.

A pain - I'd hoped it was fixed with Max 8, but I guess not.

Hi Russell,

Maximizer access your e-mail via MAPI, unfortunatly the MAPI interface doesn't support access to public folders.

Also for composing e-mails we would recommend that you do not use the outlook editor for this and use the default Maximizer one, under version 8 if you go to File>>Preference>>Email there is a tick box for 'Compose messages in HTML'. This enables the Maximizer e-mail editor to compose messages using HTML formattting.
