Phone Dialer

I am haveing trouble with the dialing feature om Maximiser 2000. The program dials out okay, I hear one ring and ten the headset is mute. A line is open to the other telephone.

I have a dialing program that came with the modem (creative modem blaster external)that does not cut off the sound.

The preference in Maximiser are set as TAPI. The headset, is plugged into the microphone and peakers jacks on the modem.

Any help would be appreciated to get this feature working.

Not so good news I'm afraid...

I think unless your TAPI driver for the modem can support off-hook operation its dropping the (handset-equivalent) as you use it.

The line will dial fine but as you have no way of keeping the line off hook with the phone config your using, it probably drops the line straight away. If the TAPI driver in the telephony section of the control panel is the Unimodem Service Provider I think your best bet is to get a real phone and put it on the same line as the modem (with a splitter) when you dial from the screen lift the phone... then the line should stay open.

The TAPI driver works fine with our phone system (Alchemy) but it knows when I've lifted the receiver.
