Problem reinstalling Max9

Has anyone had problems uninstalling max9 and then trying to reinstall it? Because Max9 was so slow I uninstalled through Control Panel. Now when I try to install from the CD I get a notice that Max9 is already installed & the program aborts.
When I use Explorer, Max9 is still under Program Files but it does not appear in the "Remove Programs..." in Control Panel.
Very weird
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We're using Max 7, but my experience is that Control Panel doesn't do a clean uninstall. Check the Max Knowledge Base at www.maximizer.com/support for details on how to unistall Max - follow those steps and you should be fine. They worked for us.
