I am new to Maximiser and sure there is a simple explanation, but the help does not explain it.

I am on a single-user licence but have set security up in the form of 2 users as well as MASTER. When I create an entry in the Address Book logged in as (User1) I can't see it when I log in as (User2). Similarly if I create an entry while logged in as MASTER, none of the other users can see it, nor can MASTER see any of the other user's entries. All users have total access to all files (as checked in Preferences, etc) and the owner of all entries is 'Public'.
My understanding is that the different users access the same Address Book and can see all entries etc, unless specifically marked as Private. What have I not activated that will allow all users access to the same information? (NB: All boxes are checked to provide read, modify, create and delete access to every user) And shouldn't MASTER be able to see every entry whether marked private or not?

Thank you!! Confused

You are correct if a record is marked as public ownership all users with read rights to the address book will be able to see that record.

Have you tried using the search company feature, because sometimes users expect the entire database to open on login and that is not the case.

If you are using Pervasive you can also go to the View / all entries to get your address books.
