Quick Access Links Greyed Out!

Not sure why this is happening but, sometimes the links to items in my Quick Access menu on the left side bar are greyed out and not functional. For example, I go to click Write a Note and it is grey and not active. (see attachment for jpg of what I'm talking about)

Why does this happen? I have reviewed the Help and manual and do not see anything that would help me resolve this.

Haven't seen the jpg as it hasn't been review3ed/approved yet. First thing I'd check is if this is affected by the Toolbar properties (View > Toolbars). Then maybe security???

Rooster, thanks for the quick response.

I checked out your suggestions and nothing seems to be the culprit. Still at a loss here but, thanks for trying.

Any other ideas? Anyone else want to weigh in on this as well?

Can you see a pattern to the behaviour? For example, does "Write a Note" get greyed out when a particular window is activated?

Well, it does seem to happen most (not always) when I do letters and add notes afterward. Write a Note and Write a Letter are the two that have greyed out on me. I haven't had any other selections become unuseable.
