You mention that you want to save all correspondence so to achieve that you would need to first save the customer's reply. When the email is received and if the customer's email address exists in the Address Book then Maximizer will show which Address Book entry the email belongs to. Simply right-click and you see an option to "Save email to [Customer Name]". At this point you now have a copy of the original email to the customer and their reply. Now simply double-click the customer's reply. This will open the email and you'll see an option to reply. Type the email and click send. A copy of the email is now saved.

Sorry Rooster - it can be done!

Hi Iris

Thanks but I did what you suggested and it does not save my "reply" email against in my clients Maxmizer record.

I firstly saved a copy of the clients email he sent me using the "right click" option in the Maximizer Email form, then I double clicked it and replied but my reply was not saved.....I even changed my preferences so that I was using Maximizers email editor but still no worky....When Maximiser saves an email it always prompt for a desciption etc and in this case I am not seeing any prompt or saved email....

There's the challenge for your Iris!

Thanks
Greg
Hi again Iris,

I found out what the issue was when replying to an email form the "documents" form. If the email that is being replied to is in "text" format then Outlook will set the format type for the reply email to TEXT, ignoring the fact that I send my emails in HTML format.

So, basically, the issue is that if you reply to an email from the Maximizer email Inbox, the reply is NOT saved against the contact record...

If you can figure out how to do this then that would be great!

Yes, that's the default behaviour for Outlook but then you can tell Outlook for that email to compose it as HTML or whatever.

Solution or procedure outlined already.

Not sure if your refering to your original post or something new that is contained in your attachment that can't be opened yet. You didn't answer my question or post anymore details.

My guess is that your not following the proper procedure and/or some of your settings are incorrect preventing the appropriate message boxes from displaying and prompting you to save, etc.

Iris
Hi Iris

The original issues stills stands;

If I reply to an email from the Maximizer Email Inbox, my reply email is NOT saved against the contact record. I do not get the "standard" Maximizer prompt (name, owner and Description).

If I right click an email (from the Maximizer Inbox)that has been sent to me, I can save it correctly and do receive the "standard" Maximizer prompt (name, owner and Description). So, I assume that my preferences are set correctly.

I am using MAximzer Enterprise 8 Pervasive.

I hope the above provides you with further information.

Thanks again,

Regards
Greg
