Saving E-mail attachments for Enterprise

I run enterprise 5.5 and would like to be able to save e-mails and attachment to a contact. Unfortunately, unless you run extended MAPI you cannot do this. It will only save an e-mail without an attachment. If you try to save it with an attachment it denies access to the entire e-mail. Any tips on saving the e-mail with the attachment. Also, which extended MAPI software do you recommend and are there security issues?

Unfortunatly the 'only' Extended MAPI mail system is Outlook in Corporate/Workgroup selection retrieving mail from a MS Exchange Server.

Rather expensive if you're on a budget.
