Selective table content

Does anyone knopw a way of limiting the table items for a UDF depending on the content of another UDF?
e.g. UDF1=1 - list for UDF2 of a,b,c,d,e
UDF1=2 - list for UDF2 of x,y,z

Any help appreciated
