Smart Phone Sync

Well gone are the good old days of my Palm Treo and in are the days of the iPhone, Blackberry and Android.
I miss the days when I could simply sync my Palm simply by plugging it into my laptop and away I went. If I accidentally deleted something on my phone, no worries, it was still on my computer. Now it's different, we have "Cloud" computing, make the same mistake and you delete it everywhere.

At any rate here is my question, "Is there any phone device out there right now that you can sync directly with Maximizer CRM 11 Entrepreneur Edition, through my computer, that does not depend on some sort of Cloud solution. I have no interest in Maximizer Live by the way. I would rather have the program directly on my machine. I take great care in backups so I am not worried about losing my stuff. Is there anything out there or are those days gone?

Just an update to my last post. I have been reading about MaxMobile on the web and am wondering if someone can tell me if it will sync like the Palm Treo did with the MaxLink back in the day?

There is an extremely good Max Mobile for Blackberry solution but it does require a moderately sophisticated level of IT infastructure to install. Once operational its generally very stable and gives you live access to almost everything in your Entrepreneur database. As a minimum you will require a fixed IP address for your broadband connection and the ability to host an IIS based website from your server. Generally if you have any form of Microsoft Windows server you will be at a good starting point, but if you only have a Windows pc it is probably not a practical solution.

Thanks for the reply, seems complicated to me. I would love to see an app for the iPhone or something similar. Believe it or not, I sometimes wish I still had my Treo, things were so much simpler. I must be getting old...LOL.

Blackberry does seem to be the phone platform of choice for syncing your device using MaxMobile, but it would be hard to give up my iPhone.
