The way of using Max 8

I have a similar problem where we use Opportunities for sales projects, but we still need to manage the implementation of closed deals.

I've been considering using Opportunites for this, but am concerned that my salesfolks will get confused about what's going on (they may confuse a sales opportunity with a Professional Services project).

I've heard that there is a way to customize Maximizer so you can have an additional separate "Opportunity" section that you could use for technical projects, but I haven't found out anything more yet.

If you have two separate sets of users handling the two types of opportunities, then consider creating two Sales Teams (e.g. "Product Sales" and "Professional Services") and assigning the Opportunities to the appropriate team.
