Need some help please. I installed Maximizer 11 on a 64-bit Windows 7 system. It worked fine. When I started Maximizer, I was getting a script error. I then realized that I forgot to import my Outlook PST from my old computer to my new computer. I did that and Outlook worked great. I then uninstalled Maximizer, so that I could reinstall it, so that it would link properly with Outlook. It would not uninstall no matter what I did. I could not reinstall it either. It said there was a version of Maximizer on the system and then it quit. Maximizer is there, but it won't start now. Nothing was removed.

I need to cleanly uninstall it and then reinstall it. I have the downloaded version. Is there a fix?

Thanks for any help

Hi, I'm facing a similar problem. I've installed Entrepreneur version 11, then had to uninstall it, but when I now re-install it, I get a pop up message "The current installed version (11.0.2026.1623) of Maximizer CRM is the same or lower than the version (11.0.2026.1623) already installed".

I suspect the uninstall didn't work properly. So I've even gone in and manually deleted all c:\program files\maximizer files, as well as the registry entries for maximizer in HKLM\Software\Maximizer.., as well as uninstalled SQL Server 2008. But still getting the same error. Anyone able to assist?
If you have a partially installed instance then simply deleting the visible parts of the installation will not adequately replace the successful operation of the original uninstall process. This is because there are likely to be files on your system in less obvious locations and which have been registered with the operating system. It is likely to be necessary to clean up the msi entries that have been left by the partially uninstalled kit which we regret is not a procedure we feel can be adequately described in this forum as undertaking it incorrectly could badly damage your windows installation.

As a general rule if you are installing Maximizer start by uninstalling the hot fixes and service packs in reverse order of application before uninstalling the main programme. It is not generally necessary to uninstall the SQL to reinstall Maximizer, although there are circumstances where this would be appropriate.

If you would like us to connect remotely to your computer and clean up the installation for you please buy an Entrepreneur incident from CRMShop.co.uk
Maximizer has a perfectly good uninstall facility. However, as with any Windows application it is possible that circumstances on a particular computer may generate situations and issues which cause it not to run cleanly. If you are in the unfortunate situation that this has happened to you and you do not have the expertise to correct the problems we are available to help.
We understand your frustration with this problem however, would like to point out that this forum is operated by a Maximizer partner and not Maximizer Software.

We are not responsible for the development of the application, but do try to help users get the most from the software through a variety of services which are in some cases free (like this forum) and in some cases chargeable.

I'd like you to post a description of how this can be done instead of using it as a pretext to rip me off!

Software that can not be successfully re-installed under these circumstances is a defective product.

Your client is liable to court proceedings.
I do appreciate your frustration. As pointed out earlier CABC (the operators of MaxTalk) are a business partner of Maximizer Software and are NOT the developers of the Maximizer product. We endeavour through our MaxTalk forum to facilitate users with free advice in so far as is practical. However, in some cases it is difficult to provide accurate advice and to correct a problem without connecting to a users computer and working through a process of diagnosis and correction. Such a process can not easily be described in a forum. When this is the case we offer our paid services in order to help resolve users problems.

We have provided guidance on the issues described above in this and other threads and would suggest that you follow our advice. If you cannot resolve the issues I may be able to provide some further comment if you provide details of the exact circumstances of the problem on your computer.
I am having the same problem and feel that as a service provider and partner of Maximizer, you should let them know that unistalling their software and reinstalling Max 11, has issues and that they should support their existing customers and assist them with this for free. I have been using maximizer since 1992, and are about to transition to the cloud for multiple users; therefore, trying to keep the business with Maximizer, but I need to resolve this issue first. If they don't assist me with this I more than likely will take my business to another company. Please talk with them and let the people having this issue know what they tell you.
Please does anyone have a solution to this? I to have been a Maximizer user since mid 1995 ish and have always supported they udates etc. Now, after upgrading to Window 8 Maximizer 11 failed. So I decided to try to uninstall and then re-install. Same thing. Nightmare to uninstall and finally I thought I had it. Go to re install: You have an instance already on computer.... Come on!!!

I phoned Maximizer and was treated like ****. Asked for some help etc... Sorry we do not support 11 any longer as 12 is out now. Give us 500 dollars and you can load that.

All I want is to get Maximizer re-installed and then get it working on Windows 8 Please.... help

I appreciate the frustration you are having with this and you are correct that the Maximizer 11 product may be considered no longer current by the Manufacturers.

I have commented on uninstallation issues above and if you wish our assistance then we can access your computer remotely if you purchase a support incident from www.crmshop.co.uk. I understand that you may feel that you should not have to pay for this service but unfortunately we are unable as a reseller to provide free remote support which may take upto an hour to resolve depending on your computer.

Please note that if you need Windows 8 support you will need to upgrade to Maximizer 12 or a hosted option.
Yeah, right, I tried that remote access thing and now the software runs but is unstable and buggy.

Maximizer 11 is a huge clunky install that includes the installation of the massive and rather unstable Microsoft Sequel database engine. SQL

If ever you need to do a re-install due to the instability of this software watch out! If your installation crashes, which it frequently does, you will not be able to re-install this product without either a fresh re-installation of windows or paying their third party tech support provider over $200.00 up front without any guarantees of success.

In my case, the tech provider was in my computer for over a day without adequately fixing the problem.

Tech did admit that the uninstall engine of Maximizer is faulty!

I'm removing this software from my computer and going with an alternative.

Lots of features but generally counter-intuitive and slow to load and inefficient.

Buyer beware!!!!!
