Hi All,

Okay I'm in a bit of a pickle. So I am creating a new address book and transferring user-defined fields from an old address book to the new address book. Here's my problem. When transferring fields by default the field is placed in a sub folder of the first folder of the new database but I need it to go into a sub folder with the 4th folder. I cannot relocate the field through the 'Set up user-defined fields' window because of it being in a sub folder of a folder. I want to know if there is any way I can choose the exact folder I want to transfer the user-defined field to in the new address book??? I am using Maximizer 9...we are going to be upgrading to the newest version shortly. I am wondering if the transferring of data will be better in the new version or if I would have this same question as right now. Any help you could give would help. All the info I have found so far is info I already know. I am a maximizer user of 5 years so I'm pretty educated but I cannot seem to find an answer to this questions. It would literally save me like 60 hours of work if I can directly choose what sub folder I can transfer user-defined fields to. Many Thanks in advance for any help!!

You can only transfer folder and field structures as they exist. You can not transform the field structure at the same time.

I suggest you might try re-structuring the fields in the source database then transferring then re-structuring the source database back to its original format, otherwise you can only restructure the fields once they arrive in the new database.
