When attempting to launch an automated email campaign in Enterprise, I get this error message:

Activity 'Marketing' suspended due to fatal error:
SMTP server requires authentication!

where obviously, 'Marketing' is the name of my campaign. Is this an error in Enterprise or with my Outlook settings? I have already attempted to turn of SMTP authentication in Outlook setting to no avail. Any suggestions?

The main Maximizer application sends Email through Outlook (or whatever), but Email Campaigns go through the Maximizer Email Service and it talks directly to your SMTP (outgoing mail) server.

During their initial conversation, your SMTP server tells the Maximizer Email Service that it will accept authentication. Unfortunately, Maximizer assumes that it means your SMTP server *requires* authentication, even if that is not always the case. (Example: Some SMTP servers are configured to require authentication when the connection comes from outside the organization but not if it comes from inside.)

In many cases the same username/password combination is used for both POP (incoming) and SMTP (outgoing) so try entering your Email credentials into the "Campaigns" tab in the Administrator module (and ticking the box that says "Server Requires Authentication").
