I am having an extremely difficult time trying to find resources on any site (especially Maximizer.com) for my current problem. We have currently moved from a P2P workgroup with 11 licenses to a Windows 2003 Server environment. I cannot find anything in regards to changing Maximizer (V7) from p2p with a Gateway to a server environment. I have been told many conflicting stories from "this transition is extremely easy and only a few settings need be changed" (Maximizer) to "you must purchase more licences for Pervasive on top of your exisiting 11 Maximizer licenses" (my tech person).

We moved to a server for the sole reason that our workstations are windows XP environments and with 11 licences, only ten were allowed to log into Maximizer at one time. We were told that moving to a server would allieviate this problem. We have now spent the $$$ and moved to a server and now we are told that we are going to have to purchase even more licenses when Maximizer customer service told us that this was an easy move and only a few settings needed to be changed.

Anyone have any info for me? Do I have to buy more Licences, or is there a setting/s I can change in Pervasive.SQL 2000i by my tech guy?

Our firm migrated from a P2P over a year ago to Windows 2003 SBS. Before even considering installing Maximizer there are a number of steps to insure proper communication between the server and workstations. Only then would you proceed with the install. I'd have to check my notes, etc. from that time and get back to you with more specifics.

I can tell you that you don't require anymore licenses.

Do you have a diskette containing the Maximizer license config file along with a CD for the program?

Thanks Iris,
I have both my CD for the install (Maximizer 7), my license file and have a burned Cd with the SR2 and Hot Fix1.
Too bad I didn't wait until today; I spoke with a Maximizer Tech person (a real jerk) on Friday and they persuaded us to buy another license - moving to a WinServ environment was going to require us buying another version of Maximizer as ours was apparently only a workstation version; more licenses; as well as over 2 hours of tech support time @ $200.00 per hour!
I would definitely be interested in reviwing your notes.
