I am not able to change the ftp address in MaxExchange remote.

Everytime, I change it ("New ftp address") and start a syncronization, MaxExchange Remote returns with an error that it was not able to connect to the ftp address X. However, X was the address of the old server we used before.

I dont want to re-install all Maximizer again, but rather change the ftp server address in some config file manually. But where? It's not in the registry (only the port numbers) and there seems to be no config file?

Anyone who knows?

Hi there. If you need to change the configuration of your Max Exchange Remote the only guarenteed way to do it is to shut down Maximizer & Max Exchange, go to C:\Program Files\Maximizer\Max Exchange (or wherever you installed it too) and locate MXZREM.MAX (or MXZREM.BIN under 10 & 10.5) and rename it to MXZREM.OLD.

The resets Max Exchange to its defaults as if it had never been run. The you start up the remote, click File>>Connect New FTP Server, enter all your details again and process down the waiting packets. When asked tell Maximizer to use the existing local address book and if prompted with something like "Expected Packet 1, recieved Packet xxx, would you like to wait, resend or process next" click Process Next.

That should be all you need to do.
